About PIKW
PIKW — Polski Instytut Kontroli Wewnętrznej (Polish Institute of Internal Control) — is Poland's longest-running professional body for internal control, internal audit, governance, compliance and risk management, founded in 1997. The Compliance Officer certificate sits on their Krajowa Lista Audytorów, Kontrolerów i Specjalizacji Powiązanych (National List of Auditors, Controllers and Related Specialisations), the closest Polish equivalent to a chartered compliance credential. It's a formal counterpart to the technical certifications: where CISSP and AZ-500 assume the controls exist, PIKW's programme is about building the governance structure — reporting lines, whistleblowing channels, control testing cadence — that makes those controls auditable in the first place.
